DeadlyScience tackles the underrepresentation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in STEM by providing culturally relevant programs and resources to remote and regional schools across Australia. We bridge the gap in access to STEM education by delivering engaging hands on resources, connecting students with Indigenous role models, and fostering a culturally inclusive STEM ecosystem.
Our guiding ambition is clear: To ignite a passion for STEM and create a future where all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learners have the opportunity to thrive. We envision a future where First Nations science is recognised and valued, and where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learners have equitable participation in STEM fields. To achieve this, we are seeking $17 million over three years to expand our reach, develop new resources that embed Indigenous knowledge, and nurture the next generation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander STEM leaders. Because “you can’t be what you can’t see”.
