To better reflect our commitment to equity and support for underserved communities, 

DeadlyScience will prioritise schools meeting at least two of the following criteria:

• Indigenous Student Population: At least 15% of the student body identifies as Indigenous, as reported by MySchools/ACARA.
• Geographic Location: The school is classified as "Outer Regional," "Remote," or "Very Remote" by the Australian Bureau of Statistics Remoteness Structure.
• Socio-educational Disadvantage: At least 50% of students are deemed to have below-average Socio-educational Advantage (SEA) OR the school falls into the bottom 50% of the Index of Community Socio-educational Advantage (ICSEA).
• Student Attendance: The school demonstrates consistent attendance rates below the national average for at least three consecutive years, with particular focus on Indigenous attendance rates and levels.
• Limited Science Resources: The school lacks adequate resources in at least one of the following areas:
• Dedicated science space and storage for resources;
• Access to experimental science resources (including ongoing supply of consumables);
• Access to relevant science literature (including educational literature, digital media, and learning resources for students);
• Specialised science teacher and access to ongoing relevant training and information for technology and science implementation for teachers, and especially access to First Nations language and science specialists;
• Priority of science within curriculum, as represented by allocation of time.
