2025 Impact in Numbers

Our work is grounded in community, guided by culture, and driven by a commitment to equitable access to STEM education. In 2025, we strengthened our reach across regional, rural and remote Australia, delivering culturally relevant resources, programs and support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and educators. Our report outlines the measurable impact of that work, the partnerships that make it possible, and the opportunities ahead to deepen and scale our impact together.

Below is a snapshot of our Impact Report that captures the reach and results of our work in 2025.

Who We Help

Empowering First Nations Learner, Educators & Communities

At its heart, DeadlyScience exists to ignite a passion for STEM and advance equity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learners. We tackle the underrepresentation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in STEM by providing culturally relevant programs, hands-on resources, and mentorship opportunities to remote and regional education providers across Australia.

2025 Highlights

Our Biggest Year Yet!

2025 marked a milestone year for DeadlyScience, with record-breaking reach, deeper engagement, and bold steps forward in our mission to empower First Nations learners and educators through culturally responsive STEM education. Our programs, partnerships, and people have driven measurable impact across Australia - making this our biggest year yet!

Our Organisation Highlights

Expanded Team

2025 has been a year of growth and momentum for our team. We expanded our Education, Operations, and Leadership staff, and the launch of our Queensland-based team is already driving significant impact.

Systems Investment

In 2025, we strengthened processes and improved data collection to enhance reporting. This evolved into a broader systems upgrade, integrating a new technology stack to boost efficiency and transparency while freeing our team to focus on what they do best - delivering exceptional outcomes for learners across Australia!

Cultural Leadership

In 2025, we developed our Impact Framework, implemented our Theory of Change and mapped our Impact Pillars across all programs. We continue to prioritise Cultural IP, further strengthened with a new Director of First Nations & Community Engagement role.

In 2025, we heard directly from 2,584 learners across Australia, including 1,244 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learners who shared their perspectives on cultural connection. Their voices, captured through surveys and personal reflections, provide powerful insights into how our programs are igniting STEM interest, opening pathways to STEM careers, and strengthening cultural identity.

DeadlyScience has transformed how our students see science and how they see themselves in it.

It’s more than just resources; it’s a reconnection of culture, identity, and curiosity. The program has planted seeds that I believe will grow into long-term confidence and opportunity for our learners.
