At DeadlyScience is is our Vision to create STEM equity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders learners. Access to resources is a critical component of this vision. As children we learn through our interaction with the environment, our surrounding and with others. Inquisitive minds are the basis of STEM learning. Building on this, appropriate educational resources help to improve educational outcomes for students by positively influencing their STEM learning experiences.

Resource based learning is a widely accepted approach to pedagogy which involves students, teachers and resources in the learning process. It has been documented that children learn best when they are able to connect new learning with what they already know and can go. And they learn best when they feel that their culture and identify is valued and acknowledged.

At DeadlyScience we are committed to delivering resources which celebrate the cultural knowledge held by our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders. These resources  are a mix of guides developed by the team at DeadlyScience along with some reference points to other organisations doing great work in this area. We hope you enjoy teaching DeadlyScience to your learners.
