Creating STEM Equity

Fostering the next generation of First Nations scientists

Welcome to DeadlyScience

Igniting a Passion for STEM. Advancing Equity. Empowering Futures.

DeadlyScience is Australia’s leading Indigenous STEM charity, founded and led by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Our mission is simple but powerful: to ignite a passion for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and create a future where all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learners have the opportunity to thrive.

We believe that “You can’t be what you can’t see.” That’s why we deliver culturally relevant STEM resources and engaging learning experiences to remote and regional communities across Australia—empowering the next generation of Indigenous scientists, engineers, and innovators.

What We Do

Why We Exist

At its heart, DeadlyScience exists to ignite a passion for STEM and advance equity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learners. Hear from our Deadly Scientists!

Year 9 Learner
Peel High School

This was a great opportunity to learn more about my culture and how science is connected to my culture and how it is actually involved in many ways I didn't even know it could.

Year 11 Learner
Melville High School

I never thought science could be so fun! This program showed me that STEM is actually really interesting, and now I want to learn more.

Year 8 Learner
Cloncurry State School

I liked this subject very much. I feel very connected to my culture... And in the past I learnt almost nothing about my culture at school.
