DeadlyScience Week

National Science Week – What’s it all about?

National Science Week provides the opportunity for community participation in high profile science engagement activities across the nation. There are a number of ways you can get your students, class, year level, school and community involved in National Science Week. Your participation can be as simple as a display in the school library, a Brain Break quiz event or as complex as a whole-school science fair.

The school theme for National Science Week in 2023 is Innovation: Powering Future Industries. The theme incorporates the advancement in technology in all industries, especially using artificial intelligence (AI).

Check out the National Science Week website www.scienceweek.net.au for a range of events, resources and links to help you celebrate Science Week. You can also check out the DeadlyScience teacher guide and classroom activities below.

Educator Resources

In partnership with Australia Post, we have helped create a teacher guide and classroom activities which explore the annual National Science Week theme.
