DeadlyScience pays respect to the Traditional Custodians of the land, to all Elders past and present, and to First Nations people everywhere. First Nations people have used science for over 65,000 years. Our culture is the oldest in the world. The first scientists passed on the lessons of the land, sea and sky, to the future scientists of today through stories, song and dance. We call this caring for Country. If you care for Country, the Country will care for you.

NSW Telstra Best of Business Award for Indigenous Excellence Winner

We are proud to announce that DeadlyScience has been named the winner of the 2024 Telstra Best of Business Awards for Indigenous Excellence for New South Wales, recognising our dedication to empowering First Nations students through science, technology, and education. This prestigious award, part of the Telstra Best of Business Awards, celebrates Indigenous-led, owned, and operated businesses that are excelling in entrepreneurialism while making a meaningful impact in their communities.

The Indigenous Excellence category acknowledges businesses that are not only succeeding but also playing a key role in fostering positive change, inspiring others, and driving innovation. At DeadlyScience, we have made it our mission to provide educational resources, support, and opportunities to remote and rural communities, with a focus on increasing engagement in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) among First Nations students.

Winning this award highlights our ongoing commitment to setting ambitious goals and achieving tangible results. As we continue to grow, this recognition reinforces our vision to make a lasting impact on Indigenous education and representation in the STEM fields.

With this award, we are even more motivated to continue our work, creating pathways for Indigenous students to explore STEM and imagine new possibilities. Our goal is to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators by making science accessible, exciting, and empowering for all students, regardless of where they live.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Telstra Best of Business Awards for this incredible honor and to everyone who has supported DeadlyScience along the way. We are proud to stand alongside other outstanding Indigenous businesses, and we look forward to what the future holds as we continue to grow and innovate.

Together, we can make a lasting difference, ensuring that First Nations students have the tools and opportunities they need to succeed.
